Welcome Home, Lidia and Hugo!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that our amazing clients, Lidia and her son Hugo, have just moved into their very own apartment! They’re overjoyed—and deeply grateful to the volunteers, donors, and supporters who made this moment possible through The United Effort Organization.

So how did this happen? Two words: Team Effort!

Our dedicated volunteers—Finbarr, Renee, and Chuer—worked side-by-side with Lidia and Hugo, submitting 9 affordable housing applications that matched their budget. And they didn’t stop there. They followed up, followed through, and persisted—until the keys were in hand.

This marked our 29th and 30th housing success since January 1, 2025—putting us on track to meet or surpass last year’s total of 69!
